Natali Stelmakh

This wedding anniversary photoshoot took place in late July at the Grand Ocean Bay Resort Phu Quoc (in the Ong Lang area). The couple, from Bulgaria and Korea, booked one hour with Natali Stelmakh, photographer in Phu Quoc, as part of their anniversary evening.
During the shoot they told Natali that they had married by the sea exactly one year earlier. For their anniversary they chose another seaside trip, this time to Phu Quoc. The weather turned rainy that afternoon, so the session began inside their villa and gradually moved outside before finishing over a glass of wine at the resort restaurant.

One year later, back by the sea
The sea already had its own place in their story. Their wedding had taken place on the shore, and a year later they wanted to spend the anniversary close to the water again. There were no wedding clothes and no attempt to recreate the ceremony. She wore a flowing white dress, he chose a dark navy shirt with white trousers, and the photographs stayed close to the mood of their actual evening. Warm, affectionate and relaxed, they needed very little direction once the session began.
Because of the rain, the first part of the Grand Ocean Bay Phu Quoc photoshoot took place inside the villa where the couple were staying. The bedroom was light and calm, with pale curtains and a canopy around the bed. It suited close portraits and quieter photographs of the two of them together. Another part of the villa had a completely different character. A large stone bathtub, patterned tiles, timber details and thick tropical greenery created a much bolder setting. The plants almost reached into the open space, so the frames had the feeling of Phu Quoc's tropical landscape even though the couple had barely moved from their room. Natali used both parts of the villa rather than trying to make every photograph against the same background. The pale bedroom, stone textures and deep green plants gave the first half of the gallery several distinct moods within a very small area.
The villa set the tone

A few minutes in the rain
The session continued on the villa terrace. When the couple stepped farther outside, the rain was still falling, so they took a transparent umbrella and stayed out for a short series among the wet lawn and tropical plants.
Those photographs feel different from everything made indoors. The light was softer, the greenery looked richer after the rain, and the umbrella gave them something to do besides stand and pose. It was only a few minutes of the shoot, but enough to add another side to the gallery.

Dinner at Grand Ocean Bay
For the last part of the hour, the couple took a buggy to the restaurant at Grand Ocean Bay Resort Phu Quoc. Their table for two had red flowers, and they sat down with wine before dinner.
Natali photographed them talking across the table, raising their glasses and enjoying the start of the evening. A few more portraits around the restaurant finished the session. There was no separate trip to another photoshoot location. The camera simply followed the plans they already had for their anniversary.
That is why the gallery feels like one evening rather than a collection of unrelated backgrounds. It begins privately at the villa, moves through a short tropical rain and ends at dinner.

Is one hour enough for an anniversary photoshoot?
For this couple, one hour worked well because everything happened inside Grand Ocean Bay Resort. Their villa, terrace and restaurant were close enough to fit into the session without wasting time on transfers.
A one-hour anniversary photoshoot in Phu Quoc can suit couples who want photography to be one part of their evening. If the plan includes the beach, a change of clothes or several locations, two hours gives a much easier pace and more room for different ideas.
Here, the villa interiors, a few rainy outdoor photographs and the restaurant were already enough to make the gallery varied without stretching the evening longer than the couple wanted.
What the couple said after the photoshoot
Diana later left a 5-star Google review about the session:
“We did a wedding anniversary photoshoot with Natali and it was a really great experience. Our photos turned out great.”
The photographs in this article come from the same session.
Planning a wedding anniversary photoshoot in Phu Quoc?
A wedding anniversary is a good reason to make new photographs together without turning the day into another wedding shoot. The session can fit around a resort stay, dinner, a walk by the sea or whatever the couple has already planned for the evening.
